  This guitar strap is made from natural cork commercially bonded to genuine leather hides, which has limited sources and other makers using for guitar straps! This strap could be worn showing either the cork with silver foil highlights, or the solid pale blue/periwinkle leather!
  
  Unless otherwise requested, the strap is my standard size, 2 1/2" wide and adjusts about 47 to 58" with 1" increments. If you have a specific length and adjustment range, or pegs or strap locks, please note in the order. And I cut the straps myself from the hide, so I can usually make other widths or lengths, so please inquire before ordering as the price may vary, and I can confirm I have enough hide to create your custom order.
  
  The natural cork has silver foil backing to fill in natural voids & gaps for flashes of color, and the blue/perimwinkle full grain cowhide contrasts in cross section and on the backside. And since the strap can be used with the full grain leather side showing or the cork, this is a reversible strap. And it's very supple, resilient, and strong strap--and lighter weight compared to cowhides of the same thickness.
  
  Please note, this cork bonded to leather is not to be confused with "cork leather" that is used to describe cork laminated to fabric, which is often presented as a vegan option to genuine leather, but this is a layer of cork that is permanently bonded to genuine leather with a thin mesh between for extra strength. And it is very difficult to find, especially in size suitable for a single strap length--and given the cost of small earrings of this same cork & leather, the price for a full strap is a bargain!
  
  The overall thickness is about 0.078", or 5oz. The commercial bonding process is extremely durable, and only after extreme effort was I able to split the cork off the leather on a scrap piece to confirm the leather itself is 0.055", or 3.5oz, and the cork is about 0.023". or 1.5oz. The cork is supported on a very fine mesh and then laminated to the leather so it is very flexible and resilient, which is why cork fabric that is now widely used for bags and wallets.
  
  Overall this strap is very strong and stable (it will not stretch) and the full grain leather is very soft and should be very comfortable for long wear, and yet very light weight.
  
  Unless a specific size is requested, it's about 47" to 58" peg hole to peg hole, since the main strap is hand cut to 2 1/2" wide and tapers slightly at either end, and is about 42" long, and eleven adjustment slots are cut about every 1", and the 1" wide adjustment strap loops through the chosen slot and is woven through the other slots to provide the desired length and fixes to the back pin on the guitar.
  
  I cut the adjustment strap to about 22", with about 18" to the peg hole that is 3/8" diameter, based on fitting for a jack output on acoustic guitars with electronic pick-up.
  
  Since I cut these myself, I can easily modify the hole sizes, the length or spacing to get the fit that works for you. Or you can add more peg holes in this back strap for finer adjustment as you wear it in. I can often also make different widths, but please message me and I'll confirm if I have enough hide to accommodate your special request.
  
  The hole for the front peg is punched at 5/16", and rear adjustment strap is 3/8". Each end has a small slit that ends with a small hole for a "keyhole" effect to prevent tears and to make the strap easy to install & remove. The hole and can accommodate most pegs, but remains securely in place. If you have a specific peg size you need to fit, please let me know.
  
  For this one, I have laser etched my Acoustic Needle logo on the leather side of the adjustment strapand on the front peg end, so nothing breaks up the appearance of the cork on the front.
  
  The design means the strap is only cork/leather, and there is no metal or plastic hardware that could annoy you while you're playing, or your knock into you instrument while it's being moved or stored.
  
  I can also provide coordinating leather "laces" if you prefer to tie the strap to the neck of the guitar, rather than using a front peg. There is no extra charge for these when you order the strap, but please note in the order you want it included.
