• Details
  This is a new leather for fall 2019, and is a smooth top grain oil tanned nutty brown leather, with subtle variations in shade, but it's not a "pull-up" finish. A more refined version, you could say, compared to my cowboy/distressed brown options.
  
  The 5 oz (~5/64") thick cowhide has a smooth slightly polished finish, and has a very small top grain pattern on close inspection, and is very supple and soft in the hand. But it is very tough, yet supple, and will hold acoustic, electric, and even bass guitars well.
  
  I have included a photo showing this strap with black leather and cardboard to express the color in addition to my usual grey limestone background.
  
  There are 3 length options in stock for the 2 1/2" wide version:
  STANDARD is total of about 47" to 58" and adjusts by the inch.
  SHORT is total of about 43 to 54" and adjusts by the inch.
  LONG is about 3" longer than standard, 50 - 61".
  
  I also have a 2" wide strap "TRAVELER" option to my stock, which is the shorter length.
  
  But please do message me as customization is always an option if you need something different!
  
  Personalization/custom artwork is an option by either silk screening or laser etching, but please convo me first with your idea and I can quote you the price to add (min $15 for laser etching or silk screen) and to create a custom listing for you.
  
  My standard sizing for the peg holes is the FRONT peg hole is punched at 5/16", and REAR peg hole is 3/8". Each end has a small slit that ends with a small hole for a "keyhole" effect to prevent tears and to make the strap easy to install & remove. The hole and can accommodate most pegs, but remains securely in place. These sizes are based on Taylor & Martin acoustic guitars with amplification electronics, so if you have a specific peg size or strap locks you need to fit, please let me know and I can make a strap to suit the size you need.
  
  For the standard size, the main strap is hand cut to 2 1/2" wide and tapers slightly at either end. And STANDARD is about 42" long and the SHORTER is about 38" long for the main strap only.
  
  I cut the adjustment strap to about 22", with about 18" to the peg hole, so the overall length can be adjusted from about 47" to 58" between the peg holes for STANDARD with eleven 1" wide slots punched in for the adjustment strap to weave through to set your size.
  
  But since I cut these myself, I can easily modify the length, width, or spacing to get the fit that works for you. Or you can add more peg holes in this back strap for finer adjustment as you wear it in.
  
  I soften the cut edges with a small bevel tool, so there is a gentle transition from the top surface to the edge.
  
  This is also laser etched a few inches above the front peg hole and on the adjustment strap with my new brand logo, Acoustic Needle.
  
  I can also provide coordinating leather "laces" if you prefer to tie the strap to the neck of the guitar, rather than using a front peg. There is no extra charge for these when you order the strap, but please note in the order you want it included.
