Captain America inspired Leather Guitar Strap

  Inspired by the great hero Captain America, red, white & blue striped leathers are mounted on a distressed buffalo hide strap, and topped off with a nickel-silver star concho, channeling a bit of the rugged, old school Cap'n himself.
  
  The 2nd thru 4th photos show the buffalo hide, which is what you'll receive with this order. It's a richer brown, and more of the natural texture of the hide, and is strong, but very supple and soft to the hand. I'll also include the laces by default. My first version (sold out) was with a cowhide, as in images 1 & 5. The stripes and concho are the same as follows, except for starting a couple more inches above the peg hole:
  
  The full grain blue cowhide stripe is about 2" wide, with 1 1/8" white patent leather, and 5/16" red patent leather, each glued and stitched with red nylon thread onto the distressed finished cowhide for the base strap.
  
  The nickel-silver concho is 1 1/2" diameter, and 3/8" high, and is placed about 11" up from the front knob end. There is a small patch of leather on the screw so there is no metal on the back side, and if the screw does loosen up, it cannot fall out. But I do secure the screw in place with 'removeable type' thread lock for extra security.
  
  The base strap is hand cut to 2 1/2" wide and tapers slightly at either end, and is about 42" long, and with the adjustment strap and the eleven adjustment slots cut about every 1", the overall length is about 48" to 60".
  
  I cut the adjustment strap to about 22", so the overall length can be adjusted from about 48" to 60" between the peg holes. This leather is just over 0.08" (2mm) thick, and firm, but will settle in with use, like all good leather does, but it will not stretch out with use!
  
  The hole for the front peg is punched at 5/16" and the back is 3/8", and a small slit ends with a small hole to prevent tears is added for a "keyhole" effect to make the strap easy to install & remove, and can accommodate most pegs, and remain securely in place.
  
  This design with the adjustment strap woven through the slots to provide the desired length means the strap is only leather, and there is no metal or plastic hardware that could annoy you while you're playing, or your knock into you instrument while it's being played, moved or stored.
  
  I can also provide leather "laces" if you prefer to tie the strap to the neck of the guitar, rather than using a front peg. If you have a specific peg size you need to fit, please let me know. There is no extra charge for enlarging the peg holes or for the ties when you order the strap, but please note in the order if you want any of those included.
