My label choice of BEST.NIP.EVER. is not an exaggeration, but based on comments from all my repeat customers over the years telling me this!! And with plan to take my goods to cat "cons" in 2024, I made the label and packaging refresh as in the past for certain shows I've labeled toys or loose nip bags based on sci-fi/fandom only & still use for a listing for loose nip.
I make these toys with organic catnip grown in southern Washington/northern Oregon by a supplier that I've used for nearly two decades, and their supply is always highest quality and very potent & they have a great reputation under their own brand, but fortunately sell in bulk for small makers like me.
This listing is my "medium" toy--with 17g (0.6 oz) of 50/50 blend of the "stem&leaf" and "fine cut" styles of the cat nip, and is just over 4 1/2 inches long, and over 4" circumference. This is still small and light enough to be tossed about, but also big enough for most cats to grab and kick.
I prewash all fabrics, and I prefer those heavier cottons or cotton/linen blends that are Japanese produced, and have fun designs, and often the same as I use for the Guitar shaped toys.
I only use the cat nip for filling, and never use any other type of herb or material for stuffing. I sew the cases with cotton-polyester or nylon thread, pending the machine I am using. I make these all in my smoke-free home, but I can't guarantee there won't be a stray cat hair...
And my kitty Kokopelli (not for sale) in the first image is also pictured on the back labels noting "Each Batch is Tester Approved". Note: the toys I sell are not tested/played with prior to you receiving them--I just pull some of the nip itself and a toy from production batches as the quality control supervisor requires to eat (loose nip) or play with.
I keep my nip in air tight containers before filling, and quickly into the food-quality zip top bags, which are also heat sealed to maintain freshness and potency. But even toys that are years old laying about still get played with!
I do make much longer "logs", and will be listing those soon. I also make smaller toys, which I always have at my in-person sales, and I am happy to fill any special request for size or shape.
One image shows what the 17g of this cat nip looks like, with a toy and bag behind. I also have detailed the zip top of the bags, and the heat seal to try keep the toy at its freshest and highest potency until you are ready to open it up! (Scissors best to cut between the seal and the zipper, if you want to reuse the bag for storage--else open however you like!).
This cat nip will remain attractive to many cats for years as per personal and customer experience. Just shake the toy up now & then--though I've stuffed the toy as tight as possible initially with only the cat nip, but it may settle with time, and allow more "shaking" and mixing within the case.
At this time, specific pattern choice is not an option/variation for the listing, but if you have a strong preference for a specific pattern shown in one of the pictures, or a color, please let me know and I'll do my best to get you that, and will let you know if I don't have that exact fabric on hand can send you a picture of what I do have so you can make a second choice (since some of the fabrics are limited production/sources, they may have sold out by the time you see this listing).
The toys will be be shipped wrapped within a second bag to protect freshness even more, and minimize odor escape until you are ready to open the package. Up to four (4) toys can fit in the padded mailer set up for this listing, but actual shipping of more than one may be less than what you may be charged--I will refund you any excess you've paid over the actual rate.
If you want more than 4 toys, it may be best to message me first and I'll set up a custom order and let you know the shipping options, since this will require different packaging. Though in all cases, if the actual shipping for any quantity is less than what you've paid, I will refund you the difference!
