This smooth forest green leather guitar strap has an overlay of an amazing bright green embossed cowhide that looks and feels like bubble wrap! But you can't pop it...
The forest green base strap does have some "pull-up" and will wear in with lighter areas. It is oil stuffed, and scuffs can be rubbed out if desired, but the through dyed cowhide will take on a more distressed and worn look over time naturally. This leather also accentuates the depth of the embossing and the bright color and reflectiveness of the "bubble wrap" cowhide layer.
The various photos try to illustrate the color and texture as the leather moves, and how the lighting alters the appearance with the depth of the bubbles, but really photos cannot do this leather justice.
This special leather is glued and then edge stitched with a coordinating green thread, which is also used around the front peg hole, to ensure if the glue fails under stress of placement on/off pegs, the separation is limited to a small area.
The embossed leather is relatively firm, but still twists and rolls easily, though it doesn't like to stay rolled without help.... The green base leather is soft and supple, it's not floppy, and it should not stretch with a solid body instrument. The flesh side (underside) is split, and a longer fiber than garment suede, so it will not slip off your shoulder, but it's not overly fuzzy that it shows on the edges.
This strap is my standard length, and as show is 51 1/2" peg hole to peg hole, and it adjusts from 47.5 to 57.5", and the width is 2 1/2" wide and tapers slightly at either end, starting from 5" on the front end to a smooth radius, and very slight taper on the slot ends with small radius to ease the corner. The base leather is also edge beveled.
Eleven adjustment slots are punched about every 1", and an adjustment strap loops through the laced to provide the desired length and fixes to the back pin on the guitar. Another peg hole can be added in the adjustment strap, or a shorter adjustment strap made on request, too, if a specific length is necessary that doesn't fall on these 1" increment range.
This design means the strap is only leather, and there is no metal or plastic hardware that could touch you while playing, or your knock into you instrument while it's in its case or stand.
If you want this for solid body, and concerned about the base leather not stretching, I can add some thin stiffer leather around the peg hole on the adjustment strap (side per your choice & leather used) to eliminate risk of the hole stretching out of shape, but as-is, this is unlikely.
And if you want to see how this bright green bubble wrap looks with another color of base strap, please let me know! I have many options, and am happy to provide pictures and make a version per your preferences--but I only have this bubble wrap version in this one color shown.
I also hand cut all my straps, and please ask if you're interested in a wider, narrower, shorter, or longer version! Pending my leather stock, I will confirm if I can accommodate your request.
If you have any questions, please message me!
