DetailsThese are new for my shop in fall 2021--passport or vaccine card ID wallets, made with top quality Italian vegetable tanned leathers.
The design with the interior window slots is so you can open it and show both your photo ID and vaccination card when required, or use it for showing your passport with style.
The overall dimensions unfolded are: 8" x 5 1/2" (20.5 x 13.8cm), and when folded/closed, is 4" x 5 1/2" (10.25 x 13.8cm) and about 1/2" (12.5cm) thick at the fold. The corners have a gentle radius, which also aids their fit into a back pants pocket or bag.
There is an exterior billfold or receipt that is 4 3/4" high (11.9cm). This is deep and wide enough for any type of major paper currency. The billfold part is wider than the body, so it has ease in the fold to allow room for contents when it's closed.
The billfold piece and interior window frames are made from a tannery sponge dyed amethyst over the natural horse front leather. This leather is very smooth and polished, and a nice contrast to the coordinating light brown, rather the natural (undyed post tanning) color cowhide that shows a bit more grain and is buffed, but more matte than the amethyst colored leather.
The interior has 2 windowed slots with frames of the same leather as the main body piece--one sized for Driver's License (US) or photo ID, and opposite side is large pocket designed to show a vaccination card information--though this can also fit a passport back & pages. The clear vinyl is glued and stitched to the leather "frame", which is then stitched to the wallet back.
On the photo ID side, the window is stitched to a piece that functions as credit or business card slots, and you can see the stitching that divides the two slots against the main body when there is nothing in this photo ID slot. The exterior bill fold hides this stitching from view.
I hand cut and trim all the pieces, and the stitching is with coordinating color of bonded nylon thread on my industrial machine. And all the edges are sanded smooth and hand burnished to a semi-gloss or glossy sheen. The horse leather is stronger and smoother than cowhide, and is utilizing a resource more commonly used in Europe and other parts of the world rather than adding to the waste stream.
I have been acquiring new leathers, and will be listing other new colors--and my pricing varies a bit between listings pending the leathers used in each item. But if it's the same combination of type, but only color change, the price would be the same.
There are many other makers of wallets in fine leathers in the more typical/traditional shades of brown and black, but I am staying with my aesthetic, in which I enjoy color and pattern, and not just doing a "me too" product. My color choices and combinations are inspired by my love of art and nature, as well as local sports teams.
I have also laser etched my shop logo "B8C" on a back corner of the wallet. And please note, the items shown with the wallet are not included.
Shipping: The wallet will be in a washed cotton bag for all classes. For within US, if you choose the FREE First Class option, it will be inside a small shipping box to ensure the rigidity so your wallet arrives as pristine as when it leaves my studio. If you upgrade to priority, the price is for a small flat rate box, but I will compare price to using my regular box, pending what's the best price for your location (I will refund any overage back to you, for upgrade or international!).
If you want special gift wrap, please message me--I will wrap in tissue, as well as include the bag in the gift box, but this will need to go into a regional rate box, and will be more expensive for not only the wrapping charge, but the shipping change. But I can provide you a quote and make this a custom order for you. -

I only use your address for shipping, and only contact you regarding your order (usually per Etsy convo), or from conversations that you have initiated.
I respect your information, and do not share it with anyone, outside of what is necessary to create your order's shipping label--and nearly all are via Etsy labels, so it's information you have already placed in the Etsy system.

Most guitar straps & even other items can have a name, image or some small message added to them via silk screen, laser etching. I have created a listing "custom artwork on plain leather strap" for this on guitar straps, but please convo me if you're interested in this option on other items, or have other questions.
