DetailsPer conversations, this wrist band/bracelet is to replicate the look of a purse strap the customer has.
A light brown embossed "croc" pattern on thin cowhide is the visible leather, with a thicker leather and/or padding will be used for comfort and to appear more like the shoulder strap.
8mm crystal rhinestone "prong" studs will be set 1/8" between, and 4mm nickel/silver prong studs in the gap (final distance apart to be approved--either 5/8" in area #1, or 3/8" in area #2 on the white foam background test).
The top layer of leather will be wrapped over the inner, and then another strip of the croc leather will span the width, and edge stitching to capture the two layers.
If possible, two studs for the snap will be included so the strap can be worn on either wrist, which are 6.5 and 6.75 inches, and set so there is approximately 1/2" or so of wearing ease. If two studs are not possible, another method to allow comfortable fit on either wrist will be developed... (as typing this, usually a minimum of 1/2" is needed between the studs due to their design).
The crystals will cover about 2/3 to 3/4 of the visible strap when it's worn, and about 1" to 1.25" wide to ensure the edge stitching can be cleanly finished without damage to the studs.
Key factor is that the bottom of the stud(s) will be covered with leather so the metal cannot come in contact with the skin.
The cap of the stud may either be antique brass, which closely matches the leather, OR a soft nickel that matches with the bezels and studs, OR crystal, pending customer preference. Picture show these on latest layout test.
All design choices can be revised as the build proceeds, and any revisions needed for the build will require customer approval before changed. -
