  This thick but supple guitar strap is made with a cream "croc" embossed cowhide leather with gold accenting the high spots, or "tips" of the pattern. The pattern represents the head and back of a Hornback Crocodile. This embossed cowhide is applied over a thick butter colored cowhide base strap.
  
  This special leather is glued and then edge stitched with a coordinating green thread, which is also used around the front peg hole, to ensure if the glue fails under stress of placement on/off pegs, the separation is limited to a small area.
  
  The croc leather is relatively firm, but still twists and rolls easily. The slightly brushed full grain base leather is 1/8" (3.2mm) thick, or 8oz, and will not stretch even with a solid body instrument. This is from the famous Chicago Horween tannery, and is similar to their (base) Ball Glove leather, and is aniline dyed and no other finish, being dry milled it has a soft, but slightly dry feel.
  
  The flesh side (underside) is trimmed so it's not "fuzzy", and ideal if you don't like your strap sliding off your shoulder. Though with use this likely will get smoother. This hide is not completely "through dyed", so some white does show in the cross section, but this does not affect its strength.
  
  The leather is hand cut 2 1/2" wide and tapers slightly at either end, and shown is my standard length, which adjusts from about 47" to 58". But please inquire if you want a different length or width--I can usually easily made a shorter version, but may be more limited with longer, pending how much of the hide I have left.
  
  Eleven adjustment slots are cut about every 1", and an adjustment strap loops through the laced to provide the desired length and fixes to the back pin on the guitar. Extra slots in the main or another peg hole can be added in the adjustment strap, or a shorter adjustment strap made on request, too, if a specific length is necessary that doesn't fall on these 1" increment range.
  
  This design means the strap is only leather, and there is no metal or plastic hardware that could touch you while playing, or your knock into you instrument while it's in its case or stand. It does roll up, but doesn't like to stay that confined without aid.
