  These leather dressage/show brow bands are very unique with exotic leather--real lizard and snake skin--wrapped over flexible tubing for a colorful inset in black cowhide.
  
  There is a choice of color and species, and without padding "basic", or lambskin wrapped padding or patent leather wrapped padding.
  
  The brow band is made with black cowhide main band framing the beads that are strung with strong bead wire and stitched to strong goatskin strip, which is then layered under the cowhide so the slot only shows the beads themselves, and sandwiched between the main band and the lambskin wrapped padding, ensures the beads won't work loose and comfort for your horse.
  
  The four options shown are:
  
  >Cream & black lizard, basic lining, size FULL (16")
  >Teal lizard, basic lining, size COB (15 1/4")
  >Teal lizard, lambskin wrapped padding, size COB-FULL (15 1/2")
  >Pink water snake, patent wrapped padding, size FULL (16")
  
  The band is made with top quality glazed cowhide, 7/8" wide, and the padded bands are wider--the pink snake is 1 1/16" and the teal lizard is 1 3/16" wide as the padding extends beyond the main cowhide.
  
  The inset is 10" long and 3/8" wide to show the exotic leather covered soft and flexible surgical tubing. The exotic leather goes under the band, and sandwiched with glue and stitching to the main band, and either the basic calfskin lining, or the wrapped padding, which is secured with glue and edge stitching.
  
  The loop ends leave about 1 1/2" open to accommodate most bridles, but if you need something different, please make a custom request. The loop end is skived and overlaps the lining for a smooth and clean finish against your horse's head.
  
  For the padded versions, either fine black lambskin or patent pigskin is wrapped around Landau neoprene padding, and the width extends about 1/8" on either side of the main cowhide to provide a soft edge reveal, and more comfort for the horse. All layers are then stitched together and ends of the lambskin are overlapped by the ends of the cowhide which creates the loops, for a smooth transition.
  
  I can make a custom version to fit your horse if one of these sizes doesn't work or is not in the color/padding combination you want.
  
  The headstall loop has been embossed with my o:WILBUR brand, and size stamp inside. Note the vintage headstall/bit shown used as a prop is not included.
  
  If you want gift presentation I can provide the brow band in a round wooden "cheese" box, suitable for gift presentation and storage, which has a leather label embossed with my logo and affixed with antique brass rivets--but this option will require shipping in a Region Rate box, so I'll have to quote the price for this upgrade--alas this box will not fit in the small flat rate box, which is the shipping upgrade offered within the listing.
