  April 2025: The version shown is the glitter bonded to a leather by tannery and then I apply to a base leather... but what I have right now is just the glitter layer without the extra leather, so it's overall a thinner strap. I will update with images that show this cross section difference, otherwise, all details are the same.
  
  This leather guitar strap is made with fine glitter bonded to fabric backing and is either bonded onto leather at the tannery, and then this leather is then applied to wine toned cowhide. OR as of early Dec 2024, I have this glitter bonded to the fabric without the leather, so this is not as thick as in the images, and is more flexible too since the entire strap is not nearly as thick as the two layers of the leather combined!
  
  The thick layer of glitter really catches the light and eye, and sparkles slivery-pale pink with dark pink undertones and at flat angle.
  
  Please note that other colors are available of this bonded glitter leather, so please let me know if you'd prefer another color--or another color of the base leather used with this. (Not yet listed is a purply-pink-silver glitter over black leather, turquoise glitter, gold glitter, and green-olive glitter).
  
  This special finish leather is glued & edge stitched to the main cowhide strap, leaving the adjustment slot area to show off the main strap leather. I have eased the edges of both leathers with edge beveler, softening the edges and exposing the white leather the glitter is bonded to, and also means that the glitter layer doesn't have a sharp edge and won't rub against your clothing. I have used a natural color thread that matches glittered leather base on the top, and a color in the bobbin to blend in with the wine leather. And most of the time, the thread can't even be seen.
  
  The two layers together are about 0.175" thick (nearly 3/16"), and the glittered leather on its own is about 0.070". This strap is very strong and firm enough for solid body instruments. But the layers together will not roll up so you can store it in your guitar case, but into a small bag (such as the one included).
  
  I have not punched the hole for the front strap button or finished the adjustment strap one as when you order this, I will add holes to suit the size of either your strap buttons, or strap locks. If you don't specify you'll be using strap locks, or special strap buttons, I'll punch the holes for the pegs at 5/16" in the front, and 3/8" in the back, and a small slit ends with a small hole at the top of the slit to prevent tears & the "keyhole" effect makes the strap easier to install & remove, and can accommodate most pegs. The firm leather and stitching around the front peg hole keeps strap to remain secured once it's fitted fully in place.
  
  The overall length of this 2 1/2" wide strap as shown is adjustable from about 48" to 58". The main strap is about 42" long, and there are 11 slots are spaced 1" apart for adjusting by weaving the 1" wide adjustment strap. This narrower adjustment strap has its hole about 18" from slot to its rear peg hole when installed.
  
  The main strap is hand cut to 2 1/2" wide, and tapers only from 5" to the front end to about a 1 1/2" radius for the front peg end to maximize the pattern, and just slightly on the slot end. I've matched the front taper for the back of the glitter layer where it ends before the slots.
  
  The 1" wide adjustment strap is made with the same leather as the main strap so it can weave through the adjustment slots easily, but it is still firm, and will not stretch. The edges are trimmed with a small radius bevel tool to soften the look. The hide is through-dyed, so it is consistent color on the edges as on its soft suede split underside.
  
  I have etched my Acoustic Needle brand logo on the adjustment strap.
  
  This design means the strap is only leather, and there is no metal or plastic hardware that could annoy you while you're playing, or your knock into you instrument while it's being moved or stored.
  
  I can also provide leather "laces" if you prefer to tie the strap to the neck of the guitar, rather than using a front peg. And if you have a specific peg size you need to fit, please let me know. There is no extra charge for enlarging the peg holes or for the ties when you order the strap, but please note in the order if you want any of those changes.
