  This guitar strap is made with a hair-on-hide cowhide that is dyed a golden color, and pending how the light hits it, will will shift like sunsets do across the orange to gold tones, and is more orange than yellow. There is a "whorl" where the hairs spiral out from a point that I've positioned so it's at, or just past the wearer's shoulder, and the hide nap runs from the shoulder to the front peg, so it's smoothest and silkiest when you run your hand that direction (and you may be tempted to pet your strap!)
  
  This h-on-h cowhide is applied over a supple smooth dark chocolate brown cowhide, and is glued & edge stitched with light brown thread, which is also used around the front peg hole to ensure durability. The adjustment slot area does not have the overlay to show off the main strap cowhide.
  
  The main strap is 2.5", tapering down to about 2" at the front peg hole, and less of a taper to about 2.25" on the slot end.
  
  The overall length of this strap as shown is adjustable from about 49" to 60". The main strap is about 42" long, and the 11 slots are spaced from about 29" to 40" from the front peg hole. The adjustment strap is 18" from slot to its rear peg hole when installed. (I refer to the front peg hole being on the main strap, and the rear is the adjustment slot).
  
  The 1" wide adjustment strap is made with the same leather as the main strap so it can weave through the adjustment slots easily when you adjust for your fit, but it is still firm, and will not stretch. The edges are trimmed with a small radius bevel tool to soften the look. The cowhide has a soft suede split underside, so it will not readily slide out of position on your shoulder. And it has been laser etched with my Acoustic Needle brand logo.
  
  The holes for the pegs are punched at 5/16" in the front, and 3/8" in the back, and a small slit ends with a small hole at the top of the slit to prevent tears & the "keyhole" effect makes the strap easier to install & remove, and can accommodate most pegs. The firm leather and stitching around the front peg hole keeps strap to remain secured once it's fitted fully in place.
  
  This design means the strap is only leather, and there is no metal or plastic hardware that could annoy you while you're playing, or your knock into you instrument while it's being moved or stored.
  
  I can also provide leather "laces" if you prefer to tie the strap to the neck of the guitar, rather than using a front peg. And if you have a specific peg size you need to fit, please let me know. There is no extra charge for enlarging the peg holes or for the ties when you order the strap, but please note in the order if you want any of those changes.
